solid wood
solid wood is a natural product with a distinctive feel. no two pieces of solid wood are alike; even within a single trunk, color, grain and other visual properties vary. specific features such as hairline cracks, knots, growth irregularities, unevenness or the movement of the wood are typical characteristics of solid wood and are to be regarded neither as a defect nor as a reduction in value.
birch plywood
birch plywood panels consist of birch veneers glued crosswise. the exposed plywood edge shows this build-up, including small gaps between the veneers. by their construction, plywood panels are very stable, but tend to warp across the surface.
veneered
veneered (13 mm, 18 mm, 24 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm): the applied veneer is about 0.5 mm thick. the veneer sheets are arranged to follow a natural grain pattern. mechanical damage to veneered surfaces can only be sanded out to a very limited extent.
compact laminate (hpl)
compact laminate panels – also called hpl – consist of paper layers pressed with synthetic resin. furniture made from compact laminate is marked by a fine play of edges. the material responds to changes in climate like wood and tends to warp if its two faces are not exposed to identical conditions. please protect your compact laminate furniture from direct sunlight and heat. care instructions are under service / care.
soft-touch
as a coating: the coating has a matte black or matte white soft-touch surface and is 0.7 mm thick. fingerprints barely show. the surface is easy to clean, antistatic and suitable for contact with food. as compact laminate, soft-touch black / soft-touch white (6 mm for digital, 10 mm for kontext, matrix, pi, tektur, linux, 12 mm for mono, metrum): matte black or matte white soft-touch surface, black or white core. no fingerprints. easy to clean, antistatic, suitable for contact with food.
