installation of a small vacation apartment and exhibition areas in a round-log barn that shapes the village scene. autonomous wooden room volumes make it possible to preserve a large part of the historic structure. simple materials and constructions, more rough than elegant, respect the old agricultural building in the village center of cons, a district of the well-known mountain village of vrin. architecture and realization: hubert sanktjohanser. kitchen.

A small bedroom and a bathroom come together to form an autonomous wooden room volume that is accessed and lit from the barn space. A second cube stands behind the central wall and houses an exhibition room and an adjoining kitchen-living room. Together with the bathroom and bedroom, the latter forms a compact second apartment, the result of an official requirement. The commercial exhibition area with a new window in the round-log wall lies in the western part. The entire construction is made of untreated spruce.
